This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
somehow barring the fact that i'm more of a music composer/audio engineer and that my drawing skills are rather embarrassingly poor, i decided to get a DA account anyway.
once in a while i'll try to chime in with some doodles!
Chibi-Tech. THE Chibi-Tech!? You're on here too? Oh wows. I am quite inspired by your NES tunes! I've been listening to your work for years now, and as of last year I've begun composing music of my own as well. (not true 8-bit, sadly, but pseudo-chiptune style)
Your stuff is really amazing and inspirational to me. Keep up the great work.
Hiya flashygoodness! Yeah, one day I had an impulse to join DA despite my terrible drawing skill (I can SOMEWHAT make pixel art using something like Amiga DPaint, but otherwise... orz )
I love your tunes by the way! The melodies are totally awesome -- are some of your tunes inspired by moe/denpa music? Because they sound perfect for a light-hearted ADV game's intro -- something I hardly find in most musicians outside Japan ;D
Thank you very much! It's truly an honor to hear that from you.
As for whether or not my compositions were inspired by those things... in some way or another, maybe! I actually am not so familiar with those terms, but I have a vague idea what you're talking about. If anything, I may have acquired traits of those styles from listening to chiptune remixes of those songs from 8-bit artists like you! (guess where I got the idea to have the angel sing like that in Candylusional Dance Mix )
Most of my inspiration comes from video game music from all eras, which I grew up with. All day long, I would listen to soundtracks from NES, Gameboy, SNES, Genesis, Playstation, and such. I also lurked around on chiptune sites like 2a03 and listened to the works of you and many other artists. I remember trying to get into NSF creation at some point, but I was young at the time and couldn't figure out any of that stuff.
So yeah, my style probably does sound pretty Japanese for a non-Japanese musician. I'm really glad you like it!
